DUNMORE: GAS PRICES AND POLITICS
His thesis seems to be that Obama is not to blame for the rising gas prices. The people that say “the price of gasoline has doubled since Obama took office” are actually using a logical fallacy. They are omitting some of the facts. I agree with the author in this case because he was elected into a severly turmoiled economic time. To suggest that it was his fault is totally fallacious. Like the whole statement about Obama being the “food stamp president”. There is a reason so many people are on food stamps and it isnt Obama. Hmmmmm
Its interesting that oil seems to defy the laws of supply and demand. Im kind of unsure of how that works.
I think oil is a political and economic problem. Whenever there is a political struggle in oil producing countries, oil prices are pushed up. It ultimatly affects oil prices all over the world and becomes an econmoic problem. It seems to me that politics effects economics just as much or more than economics effect politics
